Something awakened me, and I couldn’t get back to sleep. I looked out the window next to my desk and saw the streetlight glowing in the fog. I dressed, grabbed a camera and went out at 3AM. The fog was dissipating, but there was still enough to add a glow to light sources. The streets were mostly deserted, populated only by an occasional night owl or graveyard shift worker. As the sky began to lighten in the east and the fog thinned, I headed home, went back to bed and dreamed of sunny beaches.
